Sterling Commerce announces that it has been positioned by Gartner in the Magic Quadrant for B2B Gateway
Providers. Chris Johnson, vice president, B2B Solutions for the company said “we’re pleased to be in the
leader’s quadrant while we focus on helping our customers streamline their internal and external processes."
Johnson added "in my opinion, this recognition validates the work we’ve done in this area and shows
that our solutions are helping enterprises to extend processes to customers, partners and suppliers.”
Gentran Integration Suite capabilities include multi-enterprise business process management (BPM) for
moving information flows across the most complex enterprises, with support for messages and files of all
sizes, and more than 200 technology and application adapters.
Multi-enterprise business process management (BPM) capabilities also are incorporated for extending
internal processes to customers, suppliers, financial institutions, distributors, logistics providers
and other key partners.
The suite is built on a multi-enterprise service-oriented architecture (SOA) that orchestrates processes and
services across multiple domains and enterprises.
“The B2B gateway software market is growing and dynamic, which reflects IT users’ changing (and
increasingly challenging) requirements for more capable B2B gateway solutions to support more (and
increasingly sophisticated) B2B projects,” the report stated.
Sterling Commerce's B2B solutions also include Sterling Multi-Enterprise Finance Gateway which drives
operational efficiency by enabling banks and financial communities to optimise financial sector process
integration for secure end-to-end management of financial data exchange, across business processes on
a single platform.
It also includes Sterling Integrator Retail Edition to solve a retailer’s toughest integration problems
from connecting external partners that enhance their customers’ experience, to enabling secure store
communications, providing advanced supplier community management and integrating a retailer’s applications
into a single business platform.
