The SBF (Singapore Business Federation) has contracted with StrategiCom, a B2B branding specialist, to research
three-hundred large companies engaged in the B2B segment, in an effort to correctly identify their specific reasons
for purchasing goods and services from their Singapore suppliers.
StrategiCom CEO Wilson Chew stated: "This study started here because we suspected that large global B2B companies
may acquire from our Singapore companies for reasons that might be very different from what these Singapore companies
actually think."
StrategiCom's survey is aimed at helping Singapore B2B companies that want to sell in the global marketplace
to understand the factors that some of their potential clients think are important.
This specific knowledge is intended to help them gain a competitive edge in marketing their products or
services globally.
The factors looked at by the survey include brand reputation, financial strength, knowledge,
track record and overall experience in the B2B sector.
The full results of the survey will be announced at the inaugural 2007 Singapore B2B Conference on March 28, at
Meritus Mandarin Singapore.
A full-day event, the business conference is organised by conference specialist Think Asia Global, and is
supported by the Singapore Business Federation and Spring Singapore.
Featuring two panel discussions and a series of expert speakers, the conference provides a platform for Singapore
brand experts and senior management of successful Singapore brands to come together to share information on how they
use branding strategies.
