Ford Motor renews its B2B agreement with Covisint

May 5, 2005

B2B automotive manufacturing business process provider Covisint announces today a renewal of its agreement with Ford Motor Company, for the Covisint Communicate Portal Service.

Ford Motor Co. has used Covisint Communicate since 2001 to provide the Ford Supplier Portal. The Ford Supplier Portal improves the sharing of information and collaborative business processes with Ford suppliers globally.

Covisint Communicate helps customers like Ford reduce the cost of maintaining a supplier-facing portal and frees valuable resources that can now be directed toward improving business processes with suppliers. Ford uses Covisint Communicate to securely share a large number of company-specific applications with global suppliers.

In addition, Ford uses Covisint Communicate to maintain an extensive library of updated documents and information that suppliers use to collaborate with Ford.

"Ford has experienced first-hand the power of using Covisint Communicate to share information, applications and business processes to better leverage the value of its supplier relationships," said Bob Paul, President and CEO of Compuware Covisint.

"Covisint Communicate portal services are used by Ford, DaimlerChrysler, Delphi, Freightliner, Mitsubishi and Visteon to collaborate with suppliers."

Covisint Communicate is available in seven languages and is used by Ford and its suppliers globally. The Covisint Industry Operating System -- a platform for collaboration -- enables companies to reduce costs, increase efficiency, enhance quality and improve time-to-market.
