Primedia just announced it is evaluating the possible sale of its
Business Information division, which includes 70 B2B publications, more than
100 websites, 25 events and 50 directories.
Last year, the division generated $224.8 million in revenue.
Primedia has retained Credit Suisse First Boston to assist with exploring any potential sale.
Overall, Primedia generated revenues of $1.3 billion in 2004.
The company is made up of more than 200 brands including consumer titles, media to serve a variety of enthusiasts such as crafters and auto collectors, as well as newsletters, video programming and education publishing.
