According to Indian Industry Minister V.K. Ebrahim Kunju, at least
400 B2B buyers from India and abroad are expected to attend the
"Business to Business Meet" (B2B meet) being organised by the State
Government in Kochi from September 6 to 8, 2005.
Addressing a press conference here today, he said the meet would provide opportunities to more than 300 local entrepreneurs to firm up contacts for marketing their products in India and other parts of the world. This is the second `Business to Business Meet' being organised by the Government. The first one was in February last year.
The B2B meeting proposes to give priority to sectors such as coir, khadi, village industries, handicrafts, handloom, apparel manufacturing, processed food products, spices, herbal products, Ayurveda, pharmaceuticals, wood industries, interior decoration, rubber products, printing and packaging.
At the previous meeting held in February last year, entrepreneurs in the State had received 2,859 trade inquiries. Firm orders to supply products were received in the case of 93 of these inquiries.
