American List Counsel and Millard Group announces their agreement to
create DMexchange, a B2B list order information exchange system.
The site at dmexchange.com aims to provide a central location for list companies and service bureaus to trade information such as list order approval status and shipping data online instead of via telephone and fax machine, the firms said.
The system was designed as an Internet-based interface by independent technology provider Generative Methods Inc., which worked with ALC and Millard executives to develop the Web site. GMi operates and manages the site as a neutral party to ensure confidentiality of member data.
The secure site lets users upload and download information in a common data format. Data can be uploaded through a standard FTP client or through the Web interface.
The subscription-based system has tiered pricing by number of records downloaded. The monthly fees are $195 for fewer than 500 records downloaded, $395 for more than 500 records and $595 for more than 1,000.
Members are required to share data with all other system users. In addition to ALC and Millard, Direct Media Inc., Greenwich, CT, signed on as a participant of DMexchange.
ALC and Millard said the goal for DMexchange is to add order transmission and other data elements to the system capabilities in the future.
Further information and registration pages are available at the DMexchange site or by contacting GMi president Anil Shibad at (732) 777-2599.
